Touching down the water line
by Antonio Jordán, University of Seville, Sevilla, Spain
Water table found after an excavation in a quarry near Brenes (Sevilla, Spain). Rain water infiltrates through pore spaces in the soil during the wet season, passing through the unsaturated permeable soil and sediment layers and fills the pore spaces in the saturation zone.
