Copyright

All the material in this database is copyrighted under a Creative Commons Attribution licence, which means that Imaggeo content is owned by the individual creators and that they must always be credited when their content is used. People interested in submitting material to Imaggeo can also choose a more restrictive licence, such as Creative Commons Attribution NonCommercial ShareAlike licence. Liability for content

Images, videos and comments on Imaggeo are submitted by their creators, who are responsible for them. We remove illegal content as soon as we learn of it; to report it, use the Report link on the image or video page, or email imaggeo@egu.eu.

Content rules and moderation

Imaggeo accepts images and videos related to the Earth, planetary and space sciences that you have the right to share, published under a Creative Commons licence with your name as the credit. Anyone identifiable in them either appears only incidentally, as part of a landscape, scene or gathering, or has agreed to the public sharing; no minor may be the focus of an image. Images or videos generated or edited by AI are not accepted.

We remove or hide content that is illegal, infringes someone else's copyright, is abusive or offensive, or duplicates something already on Imaggeo, and comments that are abusive or offensive. Every report is reviewed by EGU staff; we use no automated tools to make these decisions. We tell the reporter our decision, and we tell the person who posted the content why it was removed or restricted, by email. If you disagree with a decision, reply to that email or write to imaggeo@egu.eu and we will look at it again; you can also take the matter to court.

This website contains links to external websites. We have no influence on the contents of those websites, therefore we cannot guarantee for those contents. Providers or administrators of linked websites are always responsible for their own contents. A permanent monitoring of the contents of linked websites cannot be imposed without reasonable indications that there has been a violation of law. Illegal links will be removed immediately at the time we get knowledge of them.
