Layer cake
In a lot of places in Utah, you can still see the beautiful Principal of Original Horizontality. This Entrada Sandstone is in fact still horizontal, but it has been broken up along vertical joints, which have been caused by movement of underlying rock layers. Who knows, over time these fins may be weathered into delicate, thin arches?
