Masino river
The Masino is a tiny river that runs entirely in the province of Sondrio and is part of the Adda watershed. The river originates from the Vadrec glacier between Pizzo Badile and Pizzi del Ferro. Glaciers may contribute a significant fraction of the runoff in Alpine headwaters. Normally, highly glacierized basins display low winter runoff and very high meltwater peaks in July and August.
