The icehouse planet "Hoth" is warming
This photo shows a melt water stream from the Norwegian glacier Hardangerjøkulen, where some of the planet Hoth scenes in Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back (1980) were filmed nearly four decades ago. Hardangerjøkulen is the sixth largest glacier in mainland Norway, but recent estimations indicates that the glacier may be gone in less than 50 years.
