En echelon crack seal vein pavement
by Max Arndt, RWTH-Aachen University Geologie Endogene Dynamik, Aachen, Germany
A polished bedding surface of limestone is exposing long and wide en echelon arrays of calcite veins in limestone. These veins have grown in a crack-seal manner. The arrays/veins are even thick enough for being identified on satellite imagery. See the location in satellite view to see it!
