Grimsvotn volcano, Vatnajokull Ice Cap, Iceland
Grimsvotn a sub-glacial volcano situated near the center of the Vatnajokull ice cap is one of Iceland's most active volcanoes. It has a complex of calderas and a sub-glacial caldera lake sustained by geothermal heat. The last erupted was 2004.
