
Small Alpine Lake in Upper Austria

The so-called "Großer Ödsee" is one of the smaller glacial lakes in the Austria Alps. The lake was formed in the Würm glaciation 120 000 to 10 000 years ago. The oligotrophic ecosystem is protected under nature conservation laws.
