A hiker overlooks the turquoise waters of Laguna Sucia in Los Glaciares National Park, Patagonia, Argentina. This landscape also reflects long-term environmental change: in photographs taken in 1945 by the Italian priest and mountaineer Alberto de Agostini a glacier covered most of the lagoon. Its retreat since then illustrates the visible impact of climate change in Patagonia.
