Broken Earth in Irans Desert
In the Dasht-e Kavir desert (Iran), we were passing through a salt plane. Everything was perfectly smooth and white as far as the eye can see. After some time we saw some black spots in the otherwise beautiful white plane. Looking closer, we saw that the white salt layer broke by itself into pieces exposing the remains of the lake that disappeared a long time ago.
