Contact aureole between tonalitic melt and diopside marble, Precambrian basement of Estonia

Polished section of a marble body intruded by a tonalite vein. The first, dark layer of contact is composed of biotite. Then, a diopside-dominant horizon, followed by a calcite and pyrrhotite matrix.
