The Lower Cretaceous MAHIRUD volcano-plutonic complex is located in the eastern Iran orogen (SISTAN) and along the CHAGAII-RASKUH island arc belt in Pakistan. This complex was originally a mature island arc in the Neo-Tethys ocean.
