Manaslu conservation area with Pung Gyen Gompa
The picture was taken when going on a side trip to Pung Gyen Gompa monastery in the Manaslu conservation area. After a steep hike up we reached this beautiful plateau. The Manaslu area was heavily damaged by the 2015 April Nepal earthquake and was closed for one hiking season. Although the mountains look majectic and peaceful, this area is in move.
