Solar power station not working
by Antonio Jordán, University of Seville, Sevilla, Spain
First, in English:
On the way home from a conference, Arturo and I crossed the Guadalquivir valley (SW of Spain). In the background, tiny, are the towers of the solar power plant in Sanlúcar la Mayor (Seville). A system of moving mirrors on the ground directs the light towards a receiver on each tower, driving a turbine.
But it's cloudy.
