Ice Forming On the Chesapeake Bay
by Melissa Bukovsky, National Center for Atmospheric Research, United States
This photo of the Chesapeake Bay was taken during a commercial flight to Washington D.C. I would love to see a time lapse of water rising and falling through the holes in the ice during the tide cycles, particularly with the freeze pattern tide has created here.
