Faces of the wind
by João Rocha
Wind erosion at Vlychada beach - Santorini. The eolic erosion on volcanic tuff shapes the vertical cliffs with amazing and intricate shapes. The Minoan pumice is constantly shaped by wind abrasion.
Eolic abrasion on Vlychada tuff impacts not only the surrounding areas but and also anthropogenic activities due to the enormous cloud of transported solid particles.
