Calanchi basilicata region
Calanchi are typical geological formation of Basilicata region and characterized by rill and gully landforms and a very dense dendritic drainage network (Alexander, 1980). Calanchi consist of highly dissected bare and steep slopes (Alexander, 1982) with a parallel to sub-parallel closely spaced network of gullies. (Farifteh, J., and Soeters, R. 2006).
