Heiturpottur

A small vent, complete with fire fountaining, cinder cone and pahoehoe lava flow, during the early stages of the eruption at Holuhraun/Bárðarbunga, Iceland, September 2014. The "hot tub" has since been buried by subsequent lavas. The cinder cone is about 20m in diameter. Photo by Morgan Jones and Sverre Planke (VBPR).
