Holuhrauns one year anaversery
by Helga Kristín Torfadóttir, Reykjavík, Iceland
Exactly one year after the effusive eruption in Iceland forming the lava flow called Holuhraun in 2014-2015, the glacial river running through it was still warm. You could chose the temperature you wanted to bathe in depending on if a cold spring would enter the water. Here my old labrador, Skuggi found the water to be too warm so he decided to relax on the side and watch his family sunbathe in a warm glacial river with a heart made of steam above hime.
