At the Spiš Castle gates
by Wioleta Porębna, Wrocław, Poland
It was a sultry summer day after many days like it. The earth was desperately in need of rain. When we arrived at Spiš Castle, the sky split in half and a storm fell on us. It rained so heavily that we couldn’t see anything through the window but curtains of water. But after 45 minutes, it stopped at once.
After we crawled out of the car, we experienced the best possible moment to visit the castle. The air filled us with new strength. The rocks were wet and shiny in all their glory. And there was no one there but us. An unforgettable trip.
