Autumn in Hornsund fjord
At the end of August the the colours of tundra in Hornsund fjord, Svalbard indicate the upcoming cold, dark season. On the photograph taken during the low tide, we can see calm water of Veslebogen bay, shore platform, coastal cliffs, a series of raised marine terraces, the massif of Ariekammen and Fugleberget and the Hans glacier hidden behind the lateral moraine.
