Beautifully smoothed rocks
Katja Laute
Trondheim, Norway
Since the last glaciation, this mountain creek carved a narrow canyon through metamorphic rocks revealing stunning layers of rocks. Long lasting fluvial erosion has smoothed these rock walls so beautifully. The scenic creek is attractively framed by the autumn colours of the mosses and pine needles that cover the upper parts of the canyon walls. This photograph was taken in the mountainous landscape close to Oppdal in central Norway.
