Worm castings in a Mediterranean soil
Biological activity in this Mediterranean grassland soil is high and results in impressive worm castings. This soil was cultivated 30 years ago and has been converted to grassland since. In the 1990s, it was degraded with slaking crust and received no organic matter amendment.
