Cross-bedded eolian sandstone in Utah (Vermillion cliffs wilderness)
The moon rises above red sandstone of the Navajo formation. The Jurassic Navajo sandstone exhibit fossilized dunes colored by iron-oxides and eroded by the Paria river which flows into the Colorado river.
