
Life thrives after fire

Blueberry fields grow next the St. Lawrence shoreline after a large wildfire in eastern Quebec. The fire wiped out acres of once dense forest, releasing nutrients to the fertile ground. Shrubbery now dominate the sub-canopy landscape.
