Standing alone and cold
by María Burguet, University of Valencia, Department of Geography
Iceberg located at the Jökulsárlón lagoon (Iceland). Although it is a recent geomorphic feature due to climate change, the lagoon plays a vital role connecting the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier and the Atlantic ocean.
The black colour which apper as stratum correspond to the ashes coming from the island volcanic activity.
