When rain choses where to fall !
Driving nearby the Mont Mezenc (Haute-Loire, France) leaving the village of Les Estables, I looked at the Roche Bachat and noticed that some rain is falling just behind it. Looking closer, you can see that there are actually several very localized showers and dry sunny areas on the same point of view along with threatening clouds. This single picture illustrates very well the extreme spatial variability of rainfall fields.
