Travelling south from the Arctic
Ice floes cover the Fram Strait between Greenland and Svalbard, drifting southwards. Some of the ice will later enter the North Atlantic via the East Greenland Current. The crew of our research vessel tells me that rarely have they seen so much ice in this region in the middle of June.
