Beaver dam in the Ardennes

A beaver dam in the Belgian Ardennes, on an affuent of the Ourthe river. The beaver had almost completely disappeared in Belgium but its population started to grow again in the 90s, following several reintroductions. The population is now estimated around 1000 individuals.
