Shoreline retreat at the Dead Sea

Captured by a drone, this image shows the structures left over by the retreating lake on the Eastern side of the Dead Sea. Each line corresponds to the recession of one year, leaving behind features formed by wave action and evaporation and colored by the prevailing minerals.
