Concord at midnight
This picture was taken at midnight from the research station at Jungfraujoch in the central swiss alps. The Jungfrau glacier gently moves down to the Konkordiaplatz (literally: Place of concord) where it meets several other glacier, which eventually merge to the Aletsch glacier.
In the background, city lights being reflected at a cloud front imitate an evening atmoshpere which interestingly mixes with stars and mountain shadows cast by the moonlight.
