Along the shores of Lake Kinneret (Sea of Galilee), a quiet freshwater system unfolds under a calm and hazy sky. Green littoral vegetation in the foreground marks the dynamic boundary between land and water, shaped by seasonal fluctuations in lake levels. Beyond, the smooth surface reflects stable atmospheric conditions, while distant hills fade into a soft haze, revealing suspended aerosols and moisture in the air. The Arbel Cliff towers over the lake, overlooking the Golan Heights and Mt. Hermon from the heart of the Arbel Nature Reserve. This scene captures the interplay between hydrological processes, atmospheric conditions, and surrounding landscapes in one of the region’s most important freshwater reservoirs.
