Bird monitoring in the german wadden sea
More than 400 bird species from different groups can be found in the Wadden Sea, many of them regularly, others especially at certain times of the year, some as random visitors.
In order to determine developments in the populations of the bird species resident there, camera traps are set up at the breeding sites, among other things. In this way, predators can be identified and possible protective measures can be developed.
