Folds in Hartland Quay
The photo was taken during a fieldtrip on the cliffs of Hartland Quay, Devon (SE England), where a stunning folded sequence of Carboniferous shales and sandstones can be observed. It can also be observed the contrast between geologists, equipped with vests, helmets and boots and some swimmers spending a regular summer day on the beach.
