
Fluvial geomorphology in the Nepal Himalaya
The Kaligandaki River is flowing within the Neogene sediments in the Thakkhola graben, Nepal Himalaya. These sediments are more than 850m thick and deposited around 12 Ma due to the damming of this river due to the tectonic movement in the Himalaya.
