Skirting the edge of the sea-ice during the "Arctic Ocean" 2016 expedition. The birds were largely interested in the fish being churned up behind the boat, rather than the science being undertaken onboard. This expedition departed from Longyearbyen and involved the Swedish icebreaker Oden (SMLQ callsign), the Canadian icebreaker Louis S St-Laurent, and a large team of interdisciplinary scientists, and crew. Oden was the first non-nuclear powered icebreaker to reach the north pole.
