looking down the Hell
"Jigoku-dani" - meaning "Hell Valley" - is the name of this site, the active crater of Midagahara Volcano located in Tateyama, central Japan. Vapor and sulfur gasses are continuously discharged from its bottom. The place with spectacular landscapes is a famous destination for tourists in the mountainous region, and a lot of guest lodges are built around the crater. The "Heaven" and "Hell" are on the flip side of each other.
