A peaceful Peruvian-Chilean border
Volcano Tacora at an elevation of about 4500m. The picture was taken in March 2016 during the field campaign of my PhD thesis. We collected detrital samples to analyze cosmogenic nuclides. We were standing at the Peruvian-Chilean border and were fascinated and surprised to see a beutiful landscape and a peaceful border without fences and soldiers.
