Water-filled sinkholes at the Dead Sea
Djamil Al-Halbouni
GEOMAR - Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research, Kiel, Germany
Sinkholes in the mud of the former Dead Sea lake-bed. They partly appear filled by water of different colors without any surface connection to streams or canyons. The person "walking" the balloon by a 150m long line is standing next to the sinkhole.
