Evaporating Dead Sea
by Djamil Al-Halbouni, GEOMAR - Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research, Kiel, Germany
Salt shoreline at the evaporating Dead Sea. A whitish shoreline in very shallow water made of salt builds up as the lake level is shrinking every year by more than 1m. These images are captured in the framework of photogrammetric measurements using drones and balloons.
