It's really hot in the Yellowstone National Park!
by Jennifer Ziesch, State Authority for Mining, Energy and Geology, Hannover, Germany
I took this photo in May 2016 in the Upper Geyser Basin of the Yellowstone National Park. I will never forget this day, because it was so impressive to see all these geysers, mud pots and hot springs for the first time. For me, it was such a fanastic week in the Yellowstone National Park. I recommend a visit there for every geologist.
