Ice lace flower
Early morning shot of a spider web with frozen water droplets. The photo has been turned upside down, to make it look like a flower.
I found this in one of the few mornings when I had to start the work very early. The temperature decrease during night, combined with high atmospheric humidity, lead to dew formation; when the temperature decreased even further, the droplets froze creating this beautiful jewelry. Half an hour after I took this photo, everything had melted, the sun was shining, and the spider was happily rebuilding his web.
