Prof. Tungsheng Liu during the award of EGU's Alexander von Humboldt Medal 2007. The medal was presented to Prof. Liu during the 3rd Alexander von Humboldt International Conference on East Asian Monsoon, Past, Present and future, Beijing, 27-30 August 2007, for his exceptional contributions to Earth and Environmental Sciences and achievments, particularly in advancing the understanding of paleoclimatic change using Chinese loess-paleosoil sequence.
