The Cyclic Conundrum
by Mike Smith
The beach at Rhossilli, Wales, bordered by a solifluction terrace at the back. A particularly big fetch creates large waves during the winter making this a popular surfing beach. Extensive sand dunes border the beach area, a remnant of early Holocene storminess.
