Angel Glacier
by Monika Dragosics, University of Iceland
Angel Glacier is located on Mount Edith Cavell, in Jasper National Park, Canada. Because it has the appearance of an angel with out-swept wings it is named Angel Glacier. When it was named in the 19th-century it was much larger, but as most glaciers worldwide, it is melting rapidly.
