Greenland from above

I was on my way back from a period of glaciological fieldwork at the western edge of the Greenland Ice Sheet. On my flight back home, the views from the plane were spectacular. Whilst much of the ice sheet interior appeared relatively featureless, every now and then, my eye was drawn to beautiful chains of nunataks.
