Neotethys Pillow Lava, Mahirud Cretaceous Island arc; eastern Iranian ranges

The Lower Cretaceous Mahirud volcano-plutonic complex is located in the eastern Iran orogen (Sistan terrain) and along the Chagai-Raskuh island arc belt of Pakistan. This complex was originally a mature island arc in the Neotethys ocean.
