Micro faults in Hornfels around Lar volcano-plutonic caldera, north of Zahedan, Sistan; IRAN
by Shahriar Keshtgar, Ph.D. of Tectonics, Sistan, Iran (Islamic Republic of)
The Lar volcano-plutonic caldera is indeed a unique typical magma chamber and a beautiful petrological and mineralogy museum, including a variety of Sio2 undersaturated to supersaturated igneous rocks. This caldera is worthy of registration as a geopark.
