Shelly phosphorites from the Aseri deposit.
Brachiopod fragments show different textures, indicatives of the progressive recrystallisation in apatite during the diagenesis and alteration advancement. Abundant pyrites are indicative of strong reducing conditions in the porewater.
The sample originates from the lower part of the Rannu Member, Kallavere Formation, Tremadocian
