Reservoir with no water
by CiJian Yang
The Wu-Jie Reservoir, constructed in 1934 with a capacity volume of 14 Mm3, faces severe siltation due to the high sediment flux from its catchment area. Over 70 years, the reservoir has reached 91.7% of its total capacity, earning it the distinction of being the most heavily silted reservoir in Taiwan.
